Just around the corner from Oslo’s Karl Johans Gate and right by the fjord is the new vibrant neighbourhood of Bjørvika. Clarion Hotel Oslo will include 256 rooms, 1.100 sqm of conference space, livingroom lobby and a restaurant with bar. A unique feature is that it will be a true art hotel that will cooperate with the nearby Edward Munch Museum as well as with several other local cultural institutions. A special agreement has been reached with the museum which allows the hotel to display original works by Edvard Munch in the lobby. The design is contemporary Nordic with a twist, based on genuine materials in wood, iron and natural stone. Colour inspiration comes from Edvard Munch’s artistry and his use of colours.  Interior design by Semrén + Månsson. Opening August 1, 2019.
