The former Central Post Office & Terminal is going through a meticulous renovation that is one of the most anticipated luxury hotel openings of 2020. The iconic 25 000 sqm building was designed in 1912 by architect Heinrich Wench in neobaroque, a style that was very common at the time in world cities like Vienna and Paris. The 390-room hotel, right by the Tivoli Gardens and the central station, will boast 2 restaurants, 2 bars, a rooftop pool and a ground breaking meeting venue for 2 to 1200 people. Room design is inspired byDanish classical interiors with a modern, luxury edge incorporating Danish craft from a range of eras.It will be the second hotel for Nordic Hotel & Resorts in Copenhagen. Interior design by Universal Design Studios (rooms) and Goddard Littlefair (restaurants and bars). The opening is scheduled for April 2020.
